Richard is the owner of Alpine Advantage Health Insurance. Richard has been in the insurance business over 10 years. Richard is an independent Licensed Health & Life insurance Agent. Richard represents many different companies, and he is licensed to sell in North Carolina and South Carolina. Richard is a Retired Sheriff and a former Chief of Police prior to getting in the Insurance business. Richard is also retired from the S.C. Army National Guard. Richard was deployed to Iraq from Feb. 2004 to Feb. 2005. Richard is married to Angela Cook Smith of Lancaster and has 4 daughters and 2 step daughters. Paige, Brantley, Michaella, Creighton, Megan, and Emery. 3 Grandchildren Teddy, Lily, and Rhyler.

Richard is currently the Secretary of Lancaster Breakfast Rotary Club and a member of the Chester Chamber of Commerce, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, and the Lancaster American Legion Post 31. Richard is the past Commander of the Lancaster American Legion Post 31. Richard is also a past board member of Redcross, Chester Chamber, Chester Junior Achievement and Chester Rotary Club.

Howard has been an insurance agent for over 50 years. He is licensed in Health, Life, Property & Casualty Insurance in the States of North and South Carolina. Over the course of Howard's career, He has had many roles including Agent, Sales Manager, Special Agent, Worksite Marketing Specialist. and Managing Director with Transamerica for seventeen years before starting an independent agency. Howard's mission is to provide quality insurance guidance to his clients. During his career, he was a recipient of the National Quality Awards for life and health insurance and National Sales Achievement Awards, Distinguished Field Underwriter and past President of The Lancaster County Association of Life Underwriters. Howard is certified in long term care insurance, and has a Life Underwriting Training Council Fellowship. Howard is currently serving as Membership Chairman of the Lancaster County Breakfast Rotary Club.
